Just a cute photo

This was taken at the shower we threw for my cousin Leah. Of course Marlow had to come, he is one of the girls. I am going to have to talk to her about upstaging the bride to be though, we can't have that. We are having pictures made on Saturday, so I will post some of those ASAP.

Independence Day

We have been slammed trying to get things done around the house before this baby comes. Really before Meredith's birthday in less than two weeks. We did get a lot done over our 4 day weekend, but there is still more and Bill and I are completely exhausted. First I want to thank all of our service men and women for protecting our country and fighting for our freedom! We celebrated our freedom on July3 at my Aunt Melanie and Uncle Joe's houseboat.

We enjoyed a great cookout followed by some fantastic fireworks. This was Meredith's first time on a boat and she did really well since she had to wear the life jacket and all.

I think this look says, do I really have to wear this thing, it really doesn't go with my outfit.

She was fighting to stay awake at this point, but once we got our piece of grass she was ready to go again.

Here she is ready for the show. I wasn't sure how she would do as she is sometimes iffy with loud noises, but she loved them! Just like her mommy!

This pic was during the show. She was watching intently and even held Marlow up a few times so that he could see them. The holiday was very enjoyable and I could spend every July 4th there.
As an interesting side note, the new boat next to my aunt and uncle is a beautiful restored wooden Chris Craft which was once owned by Humphrey Bogart. It was gorgeous! Also Celine Dion has a boat at the end of the dock. I am not sure if I was Celine Dion I would choose to have my boat on Lake Lanier, but whatever. I just wondered why she wasn't the one singing the National Anthem before the fireworks (I know she is French, but she has sung it before).

Birth date

I went to the doctor for my 27 week check-up yesterday and had to do my glucose test. Of course I did the test first, but unlike when I was pregnant with Meredith I did not get the results right away. No biggy, but then I received an email from another pregnant friend who goes to the same practice as I do and she just found out she has to do the 3-hour test, 4 weeks after her original test. There was no way I was waiting that long, so I called today and found out I passed, thank goodness!

Doc said everything looked good otherwise and when I asked him if we could schedule my c-section, he said no problem and he would have the nurse call. Tinsley will arrive on or before Sept. 10. Unfortunately we will not know the time until the day before, but the nurse seemed pretty certain that it would be morning since I was scheduling this early. Labor and delivery at the hospital actually schedules the times, not the doctor. So we will see. I probably won't tell many people when it is anyway because I don't want a zillion people there waiting like with Meredith, it stressed me out, especially the ones that were told not to show up until a certain time and didn't listen.

Anywho, I feel great and Tinsley is as active as ever. No swelling so far, except for after our drive home from Albany. I can still sleep pretty well too. Not to bad knowing I only have about 2.5 months left. Whoa that is crazy to think about. Man we have some work to get done soon!

Zoo Atlanta

Last Saturday we went to the zoo with the Wood Family. Here are some photos from our adventure. Neither family got a family photo while there (duh), but a good time was had by all, especially Madison and Meredith.

Baby Panda

Neither of the girls were real interested in petting the animals this time.

We ended the fun playing on the playground, which Meredith did pretty good at considering all of the big kids.

Nothing much new

I just wanted to write an update for the blog. Nothing much is new. We have been out of town the past two weekends, so it will be nice to be home this weekend.

We have a little chatty cathy on our hands, which is great, but you really have to watch what you say now. Luckily she has not repeated any of mommy and daddy's slip-ups. However, while we were visiting my mom two weeks ago I was telling her that I call Meredith the drunk walker in the mornings because she is a little unstable. When I finished saying this, Meredith blurted out "I drunk." We won't be saying that anymore. Her other sayings are: "I pretty," "I funny," "Get down" (referring to the cats usually), and "where are you." This morning she woke up and said "Marlow, where are you." For those of you who don't know, Marlow is her cow that goes everywhere (he was "hiding" behind her). It was the cutest thing. I need to try to get some of these things on video, but I never have it at the right moment.

Things are good with Tinsley, she is still as active as ever. We are going to the zoo with my friend Lenora's family on Saturday, so I should have a good post this weekend.

She Graduated

Meredith officially graduated from physical therapy yesterday. I think she has made amazing strides considering she started physical therapy a year ago and couldn't even sit up properly. Now, she runs around everywhere. We have a plan to ease her out of her braces by the end of the summer. Starting in June she will where them three days a week and one day on the weekend. In July she will move to two days a week and one on the weekend, to be completely out of them by August. YEAH!

Cousin It

This is what I have to deal with every morning. While I manage to make it look cute most days, it takes a lot of de-tangler to fix it.

So out dilemma is to cut or not to cut. I have been avoiding Meredith's first haircut for quite some time and while I don't want her to have bangs I cannot help but think we need to get a trim. I am needing feedback here, so please leave a comment.
